About the Journal

Healthy Dialogue, York University's journal of the School of Health Policy and Management features critical, original and analytical pieces written by undergraduate and graduate students.

Healthy Dialogue is a health studies journal focused on pressing contemporary issues and debates related to health, particularly through critical interdisciplinary work surrounding health policy and equity, health management decision-making, and health data analytics. The journal offers a space to unpack taken-for-granted assumptions through critical lenses, encouraging a vision for betterĀ  health and a just society. Our secondary purpose is to help guide new or emerging writers through the intensive and often complicated editorial process they will encounter when dealing with larger publishers and publications. We also hope to publish creative work such as course posters that is eye-opening, inspiring, and original in order to provide our readers with material that will generate new ways of thinking about health.

The Journal accepts English language submissions from undergraduate and graduate students undertaking course work in the School of Health Policy and Management (SHPM), Faculty of Health at York University. Post-doctoral fellows and interns affiliated with the SHPM are encouraged to consider submissions.
